Leave
After James has talked for the last time with his late wife, she will give him a letter and then our hero will leave the town with Laura. Mary will read the letter in the end. This is clearly the positive ending of the game.
What to do:
• listen to the entire conversation with Mary before the final stage;
• examine Mary's letter and her photo in the inventory many times;
• don't heal James just after he has been hit.
• do not ever return to the Woodside and Blue Creek Apartments;
• avoid any contact with Maria.

Maria
After the final battle, James will come back to the Rosewater Park with Maria. He has decided to live beside  her. Maria will cough a couple of time, so it's possible to think that she's still Mary or that she's probably condemned to the same fate of Mary.
Well…maybe it's just that in this ending, our James has to suffer again what he has suffered before, again and again, forever.
What to do:
• enter again in the prison room, where we find Maria's corpse;
• stay always near Maria;
• go and visit her when she's resting in the Brookhaven;
• don't let the creatures damege Maria;
• after you visit the Bowl'o Rama, do not return ever in Nathan Avenue;
• do not examinate Mary's letter and photo ;
• do not get away from Maria, never;
• don't hit her too many times when she's with.


In Water
After she has talked with James for the last time, Mary will die, holding a letter (I really wonder how…we all know she's already dead). James will take her away from the room, holding her body in his arms. From here, the screen will get all black, we can hear the sound of the wheels of James' car and his voice saying "Now we can stay together". Then the screen gets blue and the words written by Mary scroll upon it. James killed himself to stay again with his beloved wife, and maybe also to remove his guilt sense.
What to do:
• examine Angela's knife;
• read the diary on the Hospital's roof;
• go ahead in the game with just few energy, heal James only a little;
• listen to the entire conversation with Mary before the final stage;
• in the Lakeview Hotel's reading room listen to the conversation whit the doctor;
• read the message for James on the wall in Neely's Bar.

Rebirth
James will turn back to the little boat, and he'll go on a small island in the middle of Toluca Lake. There we find a little chapel. James wants to take Mary back to life, using a ritual.
What to do:
• finish the game, start again , and get this four objects(the ones to be used in the ritual):
_White Chrism, in the kitchen of the apartment with the coin hint in the Blue Creek Apartments;
_The Book Of Lost Memories, in the Texxon gas station, after we meet Maria for the first time;
_Obsidian Globet, in the museum of the historical society of Silent Hill;
_The Book Of Crimson Ceremony, in the Lakeview Hotel, after seeing the tape in the room 312, we can find it in the reading room.


Dog Ending
Open the blue door to the Observation Room,Lakeview Hotel, to see that weird scene and the ending.
What to do:
• In order to obtain this ending you have to get the Dog Key, that is in the Dog House near Jack's Inn. Then use the key in the Lakeview, after the videotape in the room 312, on the third floor to open the locked door of the Observation Room. In order to find the Dog key you have to finish the game with the Rebirth ending or with all the others endings. So, if you want to get this ending you have to play three times or more.

UFO Ending
(only for Silent Hill 2 Restless Dreams and Inner Fears avaible for XboX)
A crew of spaceships will fly above the Lakeview, taking James with them. Once on their planet, James will met a person we all know, but that is not going to treat him good...
What to do:
• finish the game once, then restart. Just at the beginning, in the public toilet, you can get a Blue Stone; Use it in all this places
• garden,  Brookhaven Hospital, after you face the boss;
• Toluca Lake, near the boat, after defeated Eddie;
• Lakeview Hotel, room 312, before you see the tape, use the Stone near the window.


Here, the entire Mary's letter:

"In my restless dreams, I see that town.
Silent Hill.
You promised you'd take me there again someday. But you neved did.
Well I'm alone there now...
In our "special place"... Waiting for you...
Waiting for you to come to see me.
But you never do.
And so I wait, wrapped in my cocoon of pain and loneliness.
I know I've done a terrible thing to you. Something you'll never forgive me for.
I wish I could change that, but I can't.
I feel so pathetic and ugly laying here, waiting for you...
Every day I stare up at the cracks in the ceiling and all I can think about is how unfair it all is...
The doctor came today. He told me I could go home for a short stay.
It's not that I'm getting better. It's just that this may be my last chance...
I think you know what I mean...
Even so, I'm glad to be coming home. I've missed you terribly.
But I'm afraid James. I'm afraid you don't really want me to come home.
Whenever you come see me, I can tell how hard it is on you...
I don't know if you hate me or pity me... Or maybe I just disgust you...
I'm sorry about that.
When I first learned that I was going to die, I just didn't want to accept it.
I was so angry all the time and I struck out at everyone I loved most. Especially you, James.
That's why I understand if you do hate me.
But I want you to know this, James.
I'll always love you.
Even though our life together had to end like this, I still wouldn't trade it for the world. We had some wonderful years together.
Well this letter has gone on too long so I'll say goodbye.
I told the nurse to give this to you after I'm gone.
That means that as you read this, I'm already dead.
I can't tell you to remember me, but I can't bear for you to forget me.
I'm so sorry for what I did to you, did to us...
You've given me so much and I haven't been able to return a single thing.
That's why I want you to live for yourself now. Do what's best for you, James.
